My trimmer trigger wasn't working well. Apparently the variable speed switch was worn out. Again. I had replaced the switch once before several years ago but I couldn't find one now. So I bought this replacement rear handle instead. It cost more than the switch but way less than a new trimmer. It works great. I actually like the trigger better than the original one. The old handle separated easily and the replacement plugs right in. When I had replaced just the switch I had to take the handle apart and solder wires. So in my opinion it was worth a few more $$ to replace the handle which included a new trigger and switch. I've had this trimmer for about 10 years, still using the original batteries, that I share with a Ryobi hedge trimmer. I think theyve lasted because I keep the batteries charged and store the battery, tool and chargers separately.
