I've worn these shoes every day for at least a little bit since I got them since they are so comfy and look good. I wore them twice to work and the support was excellent. The back edge is just enough to keep them on the foot, not enough to bend down or hurt your heel. There is more room in the toe area than the middle of the foot, so you don't feel like your toes are squashed, but the shoe does feel like a snug--but not small fit--in the middle of the foot.
